76th Oinoussai Benevolent Fund Ball

In November, Fidentia were pleased to attend the 76th Oinoussai Benevolent Fund Ball held this year at the Royal Lancaster Hotel, London.

The charity was set up in 1942 by Oinoussian’s living in London. The fund provides support to various projects, and those in need on the island. It is a privilege to support and attend such an important event in the Greek community’s calendar.

The organisers clearly have a great deal of experience in arranging such events as the venue, the flowers that adorned the tables and the cuisine were first class. There is always the surprise of a table gift too which this year was a lovely blue pen decorated with the funds emblem.

The team had a most enjoyable evening and some of the younger members of Fidentia also attend this year, as the Directors recognise that it is important for the younger generation to also appreciate how significant this event is to the Greek community. Although the night is hosted in London, you most definitely feel a connectivity to Greece and how could you not with such a commendable gathering of the Greek community.

Everyone enjoyed watching the live dance troupe, where the audience (including some of our team) were invited to join them on the dancefloor. The grand raffle once again had an array of impressive prizes to win, with a fortunate winner amongst our team.

The photo booth was clearly also a winner but with all the dancing and catching up with so many of our clients, the team missed this photo opportunity. Maybe next time!

All in all, another brilliant evening and we are already looking forward to the next ball.
